What is GTA VI?

Grand Theft Auto VI is the next entry in Rockstar Games’ record-breaking open-world series — and the first mainline game since Grand Theft Auto V in 2013. It returns to a modern, reimagined Vice City within the fictional state of Leonida.

For the first time the series follows two playable protagonists, Lucia and Jason, in a story Rockstar describes as a modern Bonnie-and-Clyde tale. GTA VI launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026.

Lucia Caminos

The first female lead in a mainline Grand Theft Auto. Her father taught her to fight before she could walk, and life has been swinging at her ever since. Defending her family put Lucia inside the Leonida Penitentiary; luck got her back out, and she came away certain that from here on it is smart moves only.

Jason Duval

Jason wants an easy life and keeps being handed a harder one. He was raised among grifters and crooks, straightened himself out with a spell in the Army, and drifted back into the only work he really knows — running errands for the drug trade in the Leonida Keys. Meeting Lucia is either his way out or the worst thing that could happen to him.
